A Coverage Option That Makes Sense
PowerGard™ offers a Limited Coverage with a focus on the main components of the engine and powertrain.
The Limited plan covers mechanical breakdowns caused by defective components, faulty materials, or original workmanship. While attachments, routine maintenance, and high-wear items aren’t included, the core of your tractor—the parts that matter most—are protected.
Flexible Terms and Simple Claims
No two operators use their tractors the same way, and PowerGard™ reflects that. You can choose from a range of term lengths based on total months and total operating hours. If you rack up hours quickly, or if your tractor sees lighter seasonal use, you can tailor coverage to match your real-world needs.
When repairs are needed, the process is refreshingly straightforward. There’s no pre-approval of claims required—just call or visit any authorized John Deere dealership. Repairs are completed using genuine John Deere parts, ensuring the right fit and the reliability you expect from your machine.
Low Deductibles and Added Resale Value
Another advantage of PowerGard™ is predictable repair costs. Compact utility tractor plans come with a low $100 deductible*1 per work order. For larger models, 5 Series tractors have a $250 deductible*2, while 6 Series tractors offer multiple deductible options.
PowerGardTM can also boost the value of your tractor when it’s time to sell or trade. Any remaining coverage is fully transferable to the next owner at no extra cost. That’s a strong selling point and one more way the plan pays off down the road.
Easy to Purchase—Now or Later
If you’re buying a new John Deere compact utility or utility tractor, all models qualify for PowerGard™. You can purchase the plan at delivery or anytime within the first 12 months or 1,000 engine hours for the lowest price. There’s also an option to add coverage later—up to 24 months or 2,000 engine hours after the start of the basic warranty—though this comes at a surcharged rate and requires a certification inspection.
For added convenience, PowerGard™ can even be financed along with your tractor purchase, making it easier to manage upfront costs.
