AFGRI Equipment has been John Deere construction dealers since March 2021 and after an incredibly successful introduction of our John Deere 850J-II Dozer at our Deere Drive in May 2021 we are bringing in THREE more models to the South African market!
One huge advantage of the John Deere Dozer family is that all John Deere Dozers are hydrostatically driven for improved maneuverability and less wear on components. The models available are:
- The John Deere 750J-II Dozer:
– Reliable controls command the full-featured hydrostatic drivetrain and six-way PAT (Power Angle Tilt) blade, ensuring predictable response at all times, in all conditions.
– Low-effort controls command the blade and fully modulated HST drivetrain, for reliably predictable response with smooth starts and direction changes.
– Blade ratio and center of gravity are optimized, giving this dozer the balance needed for superior grade work.
2. The John Deere 850J-11 Dozer:
Power turns, power management, infinite speed control –– we introduced them all. And these redesigned J Series-II Dozers have been reloaded with even more productivity- and uptime-boosting enhancements. So you can get more done, more powerfully, for less.
– Transmission upgrade
Updated variable-speed HST drive motors and John Deere transmission control unit (TCU) software help push production and fuel savings to new levels.
-PAT spill sheets – Spill sheets are a standard feature to 750J-II and 850J-II power/angle/tilt (PAT) blades, for better material retention.
– Enhanced blade options have been expanded on the 700J-II to include 126- and 144-in. PAT offerings, flexibly boosting job site productivity.
– Save fuel with Eco mode which regulates engine rpm and HST transmission to burn up to 20-percent less fuel in a variety of applications.
– More powerful engines – deliver up to 10-percent more horsepower, along with a more impressive power-to-weight ratio, available torque, and drawbar pull than previous models.
3. The John Deere 950K Dozer:
Dual element dry canister with external rotary ejector pre-cleaner
Standard eco mode maximizes fuel economy without sacrificing performance, automatically adjusting engine rpm and transmission settings based on load.
Cab and Controls
Cab-forward design provides excellent visibility to the blade.
The Sealed-switch module allows low-effort control of keyless start and enables exclusive features, such as turbocharger cool-down and auto shutdown.
Hinged engine side shields swing open wide and the front grille tilts forward for convenient access to dipsticks, fill tubes, batteries, master electrical shutoff, the backside of the cooler, and filters.
Infinitely variable range to 11 km/h (6.8 mph) allows total flexibility to match ground speed to the load.
Adjusts speed and power to match changing load conditions
Exclusive safety feature engages wet, multiple-disc brakes whenever the engine stops, the decelerator is depressed to the end of travel, or the park-lock lever is placed in the start or neutral positions and motion is detected.
Fully Integrated Grade Control
Grade-control system is fully integrated into the machine cabin, structures, and software – delivering precise grading performance while eliminating vulnerable external masts and cables.
Auto SmartGrade automatically raises the blade when heavier loads are encountered during rough grading to prevent stalling and track slip, enabling the machine to be used in all phases of grading.
Machine dimensions are preloaded into the grade control monitor, reducing the time needed to calibrate to about 30 minutes.
4. The John Deere 1050K Dozer:
Serious productivity, easygoing control. Size matters on large-scale construction sites. With their superior power-to-weight ratios, the 1050K simply outputs every dozer in their class. And do so with less effort.
A slow-running EPA Final Tier 4 (FT4)/EU Stage IV diesel engine delivers proven performance in mining, quarrying, roadbuilding, and other large-scale applications.
Dual-path hydrostatic transmission allows you to push a full load through turns without losing the material, unlike torque-converter transmissions on many competitor machines.
Independent track control speeds up or slows each side — for smooth, full-power turns.
Rip hard ground fast with hydrostatic transmission’s automatic adjustments of speed and torque.
The new suspended double-bogie undercarriage is designed to reduce peak vibrations in the operator station by up to 75 percent, minimizing breakdowns and wear caused by harsh impacts in rocky environments and boosting productivity
Both Extended Life and Heavy-Duty undercarriages with sealed and lubricated track (SALT) have a no-nonsense oval-track design with only one wear-causing forward-travel flex point, for longer life. One-piece welded mainframe resists torsional stress, absorbs shock loads, and delivers maximum strength while allowing handy service access to major components.
Cab and Controls
Low-effort controls command blade curvature and the full-featured hydrostatic drivetrain, delivering predictable response at all times and virtually eliminating jerky or abrupt movements.
The ergonomically correct joystick provides intuitive, low-effort control of steering, direction, and ground speed. Detented so it doesn’t require an operator’s constant touch or attention, it employs a thumb-actuated travel-speed-control switch.
Total Machine Control (TMC) monitor lets an operator select decelerator mode and response, forward/reverse ground-speed ranges, steering modulation, F-N-R shift rate, and forward/reverse speed ratios, for superb control.
Large hinged doors provide access to dipsticks, fill tubes, maintenance-free batteries, and vertical filters. Convenient service points make quick work of the daily routine. Operator stations tilts a full 70 degrees in only minutes, for wide-open drivetrain-component access.
